We are able to offer large discounts of up to 15% because we ask you to check out the information on this page and by doing that you are able to save us time by not asking us questions when the relevant information you require is already in the left column.

  • Many rental car operators in NZ use second hand vehicles imported from Japan. These vehicles have the original Japanese stereos that can receive only two NZ radio stations.
  • It is compulsory for children up to age 5 to be restrained in a child seat. Child seats are available for NZ$25 per hire. Please order at time of reservation stating age of child so correct size may be reserved.
  • All cars are under factory warranty. In the extremely unlikely event of the vehicle breaking down prompt backup assistance is in place.

  • One way hires have a minimum hire period of 7 days.

  • From small (1.3) hatchbacks to medium (2.4) sedans and station wagons.
  • Rates include unlimited kilometres, insurance and tax. Minimum age for drivers is 21 maximum is 75.
  • All vehicles are equipped with air conditioning, power steering and central locking. Some have CD players.
  • Clients are unable to request a car with a CD player.
  • Insurance excess/deductible and refundable bond/security deposit is NZ$2000.
  • Collision Damage Waiver is NZ$18.00 per day. The maximum amount payable is NZ$720 (ie 40 days rental). This will reduce your insurance excess/deductible and refundable bond/security deposit to NZ$250.00.
  • Many rental car operators in NZ use second hand vehicles imported from Japan.
  • These veicles have the original Japanese stereos that can receive only two NZ radio stations.
  • The minimum rental period is three days.
  • Vehicles must be collected from and returned to our branches. Transfers to and from our depots are provided free of charge.
  • One way hires available between branches.
  • Child seats are compulsory in New Zealand for children under 5. We have baby and booster seats available for children up to 8 years of age for NZ$20 per hire. Please order at time of reservation stating age of child so correct size may be reserved.
  • In the unlikely event you require it 24 hour roadside assistance is available.
  • Camping Kits suitable for two people (including a 3 person tent, built-in ground sheet, sleeping bags with personal liners, sleeping mats, crockery & cutlery, pots & pans, gas cooker, salt & pepper, containers, tea towels, personal towels, torch, maps and camping ground directories) can be supplied on request. Rate is $15 per day (maximum amount payable is $315) payable direct to the rental car company. Minimum rental period is 3 days.
  • Rentals can be combined to entitle the client to a long-term discount (our minimum rental period rules still apply). Car and Motorhome (Australia and New Zealand) rentals can be combined for long term discounts.

  • The minimum rental period is one day.
  • Vehicles must be collected from and returned to our branches.
  • One way hires have a minimum hire period of three days.
  • Child seats are compulsory in New Zealand for children under 5. We have baby and booster seats available for NZ$25 per hire. Please order at time of reservation stating age of child so correct size may be reserved.

  • Camping Pack suitable for two people (including a tent, sleeping equipment, crockery & cutlery, pots & vegetable peeler, torch,packet of pegs, serving utensils, can opener, knives, frying pan, teapot, kettle and breadboard.) Rate is $20 per day (maximum amount payable is $200) payable direct to the rental car company.
  • Car and Motorhome (Australia, New Zealand and South Africa) rentals can be combined for long term discounts.
